Catdy`s Ice Cream & Candy Shoppe in Saint Germain

I’ve always loved ice cream sandwiches and this place puts it over the top. Located in the Arcade downtown, it was a little tough to get to with a car, but we managed to eventually find street parking. The wife and kid got the cookie sandwich while I got the Churro Ice Cream sandwich. The churro was made right in front of me, however it came out extremely crispy and hard, mostly like a churro cookie. Had it been a bit softer, it would’ve been outstanding. The banana pudding ice cream I put in it was a great suggestion to compliment the cinnamon and sugar churro.

Clearly care about their customers and staff given the COVID environment by having the dining area closed.

I ordered three flavors of cookie dough online and I made two cookies (followed the instructions exactly) and they didn’t taste good at all. I spent $30.00 on cookie dough and I could have bought a log of Nestle Toll House cookies for $4.00. I am hoping this was an anomaly because everyone seems to love these cookies. I am very disappointed!!!

Clean, professional and the cookies were soft and fresh. Will return and bring friends!

Drove 40 min to try one of these ice cream sandwiches I heard so much about. Ended up spending $30 for a couple scoops of ice cream because the cookies were to hard And stale to even bite into. When I said something to them on social media there response was to block me for saying how my experience was.

Today just before 4:00 pm myself and a co-worker stopped in for the advertised “happy hour special”. We were met be a extremely rude staff member who told us there was no happy hour. When we told her that it was posted on their website she said “ oh well there ain’t no happy hour, I don’t know nuttin bout no happy hour” I suggested that perhaps they could update the website so that customers would know. She replied very rudely again with “well maybe she should and good bye”. The customer service was so abrasive, Unfortunately I would never recommend this place to anyone. There is too much competition in the Downtown area to offer such poor customer service.

Was walking by and saw the advertisement in the window, which caught my attention. Ordered 2 ice cream sandwiches, which was feeding 2 adults. We were told the cookies were going to be soft and warm. There was a selection of about 8 or so cookies, but they definitely weren't soft nor warm. The portions are big, so unless you're making it a meal, keep to sharing. We couldn't finish 2 of them. They were very messy, but can't say they were not good. Just not what we thought they were going to be like provided we were told something differently prior to ordering.

Vegan ice cream was a hit!! The vegan cookie was a little on the crunchy side. Down side is it gets messy with the warm cookie. Service was great with it being so close to closing.

Literally amazing. I got a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with salted caramel peanut ice cream and chocolate chips. It was so good. The cookies were warm, the ice cream was tasty and soft. Great customer service! Unfortunately you can’t leave a tip with your card while checking out. They need to fix their system to allow that.

The treats live up to the hype! The cookies are baked PERFECTLY, and the ice cream is applied GENEROUSLY! The only downside to the ice cream sandwiches is that they're too large to easily eat. (HINT: do not attempt while walking downtown!) Overall, the experience was wonderful, and I'll definitely be returning again!

Apart from the amazing ice cream and milkshakes their cookies are AMAZING!!

Good ice cream and a good concept, though they did not live up to expectations. It's probably somewhat due to the fact that I've been to the West Coast based Baked Bear, but they did not excel. Don't get me wrong, they we're definitely good and worth going to. Not a turn off flavors but they definitely taste great.

Amazing ice cream sandwiches. Finally a place with treats that taste as good as they look. Super friendly service makes it a must try. I had the chocolate chip cookies with cookies and cream ice cream rolled in Oreos with caramel. It was perfect

RUDE STAFF.Very very bad service!We arrived at 8.45 and they said we are close but at the next moment I saw two more people going in and they accepted their order.

The ice cream was delicious and I like the idea of it being black owned!

Loved it! Poor girl was working all by herself and several people in line but she managed to get the cookies in and out of the oven and help everyone in a reasonable time. The cookies were chewy but had that crunch, I had the snickerdoodles with carrot cake ice cream. Even if you just get the cookie or the ice cream they were both excellent! Will be back!

The ice cream sandwiches were good but i recommend like cups or something because the ice cream melted in the bag and i lost half the ice cream
